Cedarview Farm Bed & Breakfast is ideally located within 10-12 minutes of the airport and within the Christchurch City Boundary, we are only about 15-20 minutes from the central city.Because we are situated so close to both the Airport & the City many of our guests either start or finish(sometimes both) their trip to NZ with us.Also we are just a very short drive from Highway 1 South/North,Highway 73 to the West Coast & Highway 75 to the lovely village of Akaroa
While our farmlet is only small at five & half acres, it operates just like the bigger farms further out in the countryside. We keep beef cattle(except for over the winter months),  a small number of breeding sheep with lambs due August/September, free range hens,a farm cat called "Alfie"a Chocolate Labrador called "Ruby" and the latest additions to our family two stunning Shetland Ponies "Bella" & "Thomas".While our Ponies can not be ridden they love to be given carrots to eat. Apart from visiting Christchurch you can easily take day trips to Hanmer Springs,visit stunning Akaroa,see the whales at Kaikoura or take a ride on the Tranz Alpine train.You can go skiing in the winter or take a drive to Sumner beach. Just 2 minutes by car is the Templeton Golf course. 3 minutes drive to the local mall & Factory outlet shopping centre with designer brands at discount prices, Restaurants & Bars are also just a short car trip away.The award winning Antarctic Centre is a must do and you can visit the Kiwis at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. "Amazing".
